Golf

Engelberg boasts an 18 hole, par 71 golf course with a magnificent mountain backdrop.

The Engelberg golf club is extremely friendly and the course is open to visitors. You can rent equipment at the clubhouse and golf lessons with the resident pro are available. There is also a driving range, a putting green and pitching area for practice, a pro shop and even a restaurant for golfers and walkers.

Tennis

Engelberg’s Sports Centre has four excellent outdoor tennis courts, which are rarely busy. Lessons can also be arranged.

Fishing

There is a beautiful lake opposite Chalet Espen where trout fishing is available between May and October each year.

Daily permits can be purchased (which entitle you to catch and keep up to 4 fish – perfect for a barbecue) and fishing equipment can also be hired locally.
